INK n’ INDEX 2024 - National Electoral Competition

Saveetha School of Law organised a National level Inter-College Competition under title: INK n’ Index 2024 on this Leap Day of 2024 in the SSL Campus, Chennai. The competition’s main motive was to redefine the boundaries of traditional electoral processes and showcase the power of innovation in shaping the future. Around 18 Teams from 8 different colleges participated. Preliminary round - Scrutiny of Candidature consists of workbook filled with crosswords, sequencing and matching, puzzles etc., where every question is based on Election and Politics. The Semi finals - The Nation wants to know imparts discussion on the political emergency scenarios, where a panel of journalists fired questions towards the participants, which represented the press conference stimulation. Finals - First Past the Post, is the highlight of the event where the secret ballot election was conducted,  where 3 finalists were allowed to canvass the electorate of 200 students, who in turn cast their vote for their preferred candidate and ultimately, the team that secured the popular vote was declared to be the winner of INK n’ INDEX 2024.

J D Geethika Sriya and Hariharasudan S from the School of Excellence in Law, TNDALU, Chennai BAGGED THE TITLE of Ink n’ Index 2024 with 86 votes. Vigneswar T and Ramya V from Saraswathy Law College, Tindivanam emerged as the OPPOSITION PARTY with 66 votes. Karuna T from Vels University was declared as the BEST SPOKESPERSON of the Competition.

The event is honoured by Dr. A. Ramesh, Chairman, Permanent Lok Adalat, Tiruvallur and presided by Mrs. Girija Anil, Associate Dean for Students, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Asha Sundaram, Principal, SSL. The Rounds of the event were adjudged by Ms. Thenmozhi Ezhil, Journalist/ Digital Entrepreneur and Mr. D. Vezhaventhan, Assistant Professor, SSL. The Event Organisers are Mr. Arun Kumar. R and Ms. Manonmani. M, Assistant Professors, SSL This event is a true testament to the spirit of democracy and fair competition.
